About Marika :

Marika has practiced nursing in a variety of health care settings since 1973 She earned a Masters of Arts degree from NYU in 1981.

She became certified in Massage in 1994. She has taught Therapeutic Touch, pathology, and ethics at area massage schools. Her massage techniques include St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy, foot reflexology, Swedish massage and Therapeutic touch. She is Nationally Certified in Massage.

Types of Massage :

Neuromuscular Massage helps people in pain by releasing muscle tension that leads to pain and pathology. A systematic evaluation of the body is performed and mapped on a chart. This chart is then utilized to release painful patterns. Conditions such as chronic headaches and low back pain have been successfully treated with the St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy.
