Glass etching is a subtle design
element that can be as simple as a single line to a more elaborate floral
design scrolling around the edges of a mat opening. The glass is masked, the
design cut into the mask, and etching cream is applied. The result is a
graceful frosting of the glass in the exposed areas. Echo the embossed design
on a wedding invitation or watch notes curl from the bell of a trumpet in a
photo.
