Letter from the Commander

Our Christmas Dinner was an excellent night of good food and friends.  In addition to our special guests we were joined by our Past Long Serving Chaplain Rev. Paul Chreiman, who was looking well and fit.  If you missed it, you missed some fine food by Jeanie.

Sr. Vice Commander Harper presented Frank Jankowski and Tom Morris with Certificates of Appreciation for their work as Financial Officer and Treasurer.  Frank was long time Treasurer of the Veterans Association and Tom has been Commander, Membership Chairman and Legion Financial Officer.  Tom has taken on the Treasurer’s position on the Veterans Assn.  The Veteran’s Assn. Treasurer is responsible for the physical Post and all bills and associated expenses.

The Legion Man of the Year was presented to Gerry DeYoung by his good friend Skip Scarborourgh.  Gerry has showed continued courage and maintains his sense of humor as he fights his illness.

Commander Boysen is over his surgery and will be here at the January Exec. Meeting.

By now, all should have received their 20-20 tickets for the new year.  This is the only fund raiser for our Post.  We would appreciate your returning the tickets ASAP.  Either bring them to a meeting or mail to the Post, Attn: Finance Officer.

Any ideas you may have to enhance our meetings and attract some new and younger members would be appreciated.  See the Commander before or after the meeting.

Your Post Officers wish you and your families a Happy and Safe New Year!!
